Mr. Tennyson All Black is the sort of sneaker you buy when you want the extra height, but you don’t want the shoe to talk about it for you.
It’s all black, which keeps things easy. Black leather, black laces, black sole. No coloured panels or flashy bits. Just a clean high-top shape with enough structure to look sharper than a normal casual sneaker.
This one is pretty easy to wear. Black jeans are the obvious match. Blue denim works too, especially with a plain tee or a linen shirt. Chinos and a knit polo would tidy it up a bit without making it look too dressed. It sits in that useful middle spot. Not too sporty. Not too dressy either.
The upper is made from premium-grade cow leather, so it feels firmer than a soft everyday sneaker. Around the ankle, it holds its shape nicely. The premium-grade rubber outsole gives it a more grounded feel too, which is important with this much lift inside.
And yes, it is a proper lift. Mr. Tennyson All Black gives you an 11cm / 4.33" height increase, built into the shoe with non-compressing polyurethane and JENNEN cushion. It is one of our maximum height-boosting sneakers, but from the outside, it still looks like a regular black leather high top. No obvious heel. No strange platform look.
